Build the form first: Building WhatsApp forms. Photo upload asks the customer for photos from the camera, the gallery, or both. Document upload asks for files: PDF, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, or only the types you tick. The customer attaches them inside WhatsApp.
  • Set how many files to ask for (At least and At most), and whether the question is Required. A Description under the question can say what to send.
  • A screen holds one photo or document question, and a form asks for up to 10 files in total. WhatsApp caps a form at 100 MB, so the more files a form asks for, the smaller each one may be: a single document can be up to 25 MB, photos up to 10 MB, and with 10 files each one up to 10 MB. The sheet shows the size that applies.
  • Save the answer to a contact property of kind File (one file) or Multiple files. A new submission replaces the files in the property. You can also leave it unsaved: the files stay on the submission.
  • A form with a Meeting slot can’t have a photo or document question.
After the customer sends the form, Ciarem saves the files to the contact within a few seconds. View responses shows the photos, the documents with their size, and any file that couldn’t be saved, with the reason. The AI agent reads how many files came in, and a document’s name, but not their content.
