A broadcast is a message template sent to many contacts at once: a re-engagement campaign, a price update, a “we’re open again” announcement. Because a template is pre-approved by Meta, a broadcast can reach people outside the 24-hour window. Each send draws from your WhatsApp wallet at Meta’s per-category rate (see WhatsApp costs). Broadcasts are admin-only and need a connected WhatsApp channel.

Send one

There is no “create broadcast” button. A broadcast is a bulk template send, started from wherever your audience already is:
  • From Contacts: tick the contacts you want (or select all with your current filters applied). The selection toolbar appears with Send WhatsApp template. The same toolbar also offers Export CSV and delete.
  • From a segment: open the segment’s page and use its Send WhatsApp template button to message the whole segment.
  • From the board view: send to everyone in a funnel-stage column.

Select your audience

Tick contacts in Contacts, open a segment, or pick a funnel-stage column in the board view.
2

Click Send WhatsApp template

The dialog lists your templates, searchable and filterable by category, buttons, and language. Only an Approved template can be sent. The send dialog: choosing an approved WhatsApp template to send to the selected contacts

Fill in variables and media

If the template has variables or media, you fill them once for the whole batch. Contact fields like the first name fill in per recipient automatically. A live preview shows the finished message.

Send

The batch is checked against your WhatsApp wallet before anything is queued.
There is no cap on recipients. The only limit is your wallet: the batch is checked against your prepaid WhatsApp balance up front. If the estimated cost exceeds what is available, nothing is queued and Ciarem asks you to add credit first (Settings > Billing > WhatsApp wallet).

Track it

Every bulk send appears under Channels > WhatsApp > Broadcasts with a live status:
  • In progress: still sending.
  • Completed: every recipient reached.
  • Stopped, low balance: the wallet ran out mid-send. Top up and send the rest as a new broadcast.
  • Cancelled: you pressed Stop broadcast. Messages already sent cannot be unsent; the rest are not sent.
Open a broadcast for the full picture. The Overview tab shows the delivery bar (sent, delivered, read, pending, failed) and your delivery, open, and response rates. It also explains why messages failed in plain language: numbers not on WhatsApp, contacts without a phone number, missing personalization data. The Destinations tab lists every recipient with their individual status, and you can select rows and Download CSV.

After the send

Replies land in the Inbox like any other conversation, and the AI answers them. A contact replying to your campaign is not greeted with the welcome message again; they get a real answer. Watch the response rate on the Overview tab. A broadcast that gets blocked hurts your number’s standing with Meta, so keep broadcasts relevant and expected.
