The **Contacts** tab is your CRM on the phone. Everything you see there is the same data as [Contacts and funnel stages](/using-ciarem/contacts-and-stages) on the web (the same contacts, funnel stages, custom properties, and segments), arranged for a small screen. ## Cards or board The switch at the top-right of the tab picks the layout, and the app remembers your choice: * **Cards** is the list. Each card shows the contact's name, funnel stage, email or phone, and owner, then the first two of your configured fields. **Show more** expands the rest. Tap a card to open the contact. * **Board** is the funnel: one column per stage, plus **No stage**, each with its count. **Press and hold a card and drag it** to another column to move the contact to that stage. The board scrolls sideways on its own when you reach the edge. A long-press without dragging opens a stage picker instead. The Contacts tab as cards and as the funnel board ## Find the right contacts The header holds a search box (with **Recent searches**, as in the Inbox), the **Filters** button, and **Customize columns**. Below them, **Segments** applies one of the [dynamic segments](/using-ciarem/contacts-and-stages) you saved on the web. The chip shows the active segment's name while it is applied. Filters apply as you tap them: **Sort by** (recent, name, country, city, origin, or any sortable custom property), **Creation date**, **Owner**, **WhatsApp** status (verified, unverified, no number), **Has Instagram**, **Has Messenger**, **Country**, **Origin**, **Funnel stage**, and one section per custom property. **Clear filters** resets everything. **Customize columns** decides which fields the cards show. Tap a row to show or hide it, and drag the handle to reorder. Visibility is shared with your web table. The order is kept per device, so rearranging on the phone leaves your web columns alone. The contact filters, the segment picker, and the Customize columns sheet ## A contact's record Opening a contact shows the record in full: name, country, city, phone, WhatsApp status, email, origin and source, owner, and every custom property. Admins edit in place, and each field saves as you leave it. Agents see the record read-only. File-type properties are managed from the web app. Under the fields, **Conversations** lists this contact's conversations with their status. Tap one to open it in the Inbox. If the contact has no conversation yet and a WhatsApp channel is connected, **Send WhatsApp template** starts one. This is the only way to open a conversation with someone who has not written to you first, same as on the web. The **…** menu at the top (admins) offers **Send WhatsApp template** and **Delete contact**. Merging duplicates stays on the web. A contact record on mobile: editable fields at the top, owner and conversations further down ## Add a contact The **+** button opens **Add contact**: first and last name, country, city, email, phone (in international format), Instagram handle, origin and source, funnel stage, and your custom properties. A contact needs at least a name, email, phone, or Instagram handle. If the email, phone, or handle already belongs to someone, the form flags the duplicate and offers **View contact** instead of creating a second record. Importing contacts from a file is done on the web. ## Act on many at once **Long-press a card** to enter selection mode. Every card grows a checkbox. A floating bar shows how many are selected, a tick to select all the contacts loaded so far, a WhatsApp button, and **More**: * **Send WhatsApp template** to the whole selection: a broadcast, sent as one batch (see [Broadcasts](/channels/broadcasts)). * **Apply a tag to N contacts**: sets one custom property to one value across the selection. * **Assign N contacts to…** a teammate, or unassign them (admins). * **Export CSV**: builds the file on the phone and hands it to the system share sheet. * **Delete contacts**, after a confirmation. Selection mode with the floating action bar, the Bulk actions sheet, and the Add contact form Selection is not available on the board. Switch to **Cards** first.
